Then Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I have compassion on the crowd, because they have been with me now three days, and have nothing to eat; and I am unwilling to send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way.”
– Matthew 15:32
He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” And he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep.”
As Father Niko announced, our parish has been selected as a site for distributing food by the Alameda County Community Food Bank. Thus far, the Parish Council and the Ladies Philoptochos have been involved in this new project.
It is with great joy that we are inviting anyone interested in sharing the love of this community with our neighbors by distributing food to please send us an email. We are in the initial planning stage and there are a number of opportunities to participate.
We need your help… Please send an email to the Food Pantry Co-chairs to express your interest by Friday, May 12th. Thank you!
