This month the Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts joined together for a two-night camping trip at Lake Chabot. We had a great time at the campfires both nights, led in song by Cadette Scout Judi Bosl. The older scouts learned pocket knife safety, fire building, and knot tying.
The younger scouts used things found in nature–such as bark and leaves–to paint with. And everyone enjoyed the challenging hike down to the lake. Coming up on May 1, five Cub Scouts will be bridging over to Boy Scouts, a big accomplishment.
A few of the scouts are close to finishing their religious awards, so we will have the service to award them soon. Finally, stay tuned for announcements of Alexandria Droogas’ and Judi Bosl’s upcoming Silver Award service project at the church.
