Building Project Update

Picture6Since Pascha, an additional $155,000.00 has pledged to the campaign by an additional three families!  This brings our total to over $2.4 million pledged now and $650,000 in cash on hand to spend on our project.

We have also been informed that one of our families that has already pledged will be contributing another significant portion towards their pledge in July, as well, which will bring our total in cash on hand to close to $900,000!!

Please note that all of the monies and pledges to the capital campaign thus far have come from eighteen families, and from no other outside sources or fundraisers (ie festival, etc).  For this, we thank God that we have so many families in the community who believe in this project and have already contributed towards its realization.

Many, many thanks to our dynamic capital campaign committee: Justin Bosl (co-chair), Dimitri Haloulos (co-chair), George Psefteas, Gary Wallner, Matthew Jameson and Nick Vriheas.

As our fundraising continues, our parish steering committee, led by Fawaz Khanachet, are actively looking at properties in the Tri-Valley area as potential sites to build a new church and multi-purpose facility.  Our steering committee is currently meeting with and gathering names of real estate attorneys, commercial brokers, and anyone else with professional experience who can assist us with our project, as was mentioned at our last general assembly.

In the month of June, our committee met with one lobbyist from the firm Lighthouse Public Affairs, as well as a commercial broker recommended to us from Heritage Bank in Pleasanton.

As our community goes forward with our vision for the future, please keep our capital campaign and steering committees in your prayers as they discern what the Lord’s will is for our project, and where He is taking us.  Thank you again for your support!
