Our building project continues to gather momentum and move forward, and much has happened in the last thirty days. As mentioned last month, our steering committee has been working with two representatives from Colliers International, whom we have engaged as our commercial realtor for the project.
Although one site, in particular has been very closely looked at these last few months, the committee felt it would be best to have Colliers do one more sweep of the Tri-Valley area so that we can weigh all options as they currently stand.
Our committee met with Colliers on Tuesday, September 26, and was given a wealth of information on sites focused in Dublin, Pleasanton, and Livermore. As information continues to be gathered and questions answered, our steering committee will discuss options with the parish council this month and keep our community informed as we go. Many thanks to our dynamic committee led by Fawaz Khanachet, and consisting of George Psefteas and our newest member, Marina Younani!
In terms of fundraising, three new pledges were made in September totaling nearly $55,000, bringing the total monies raised for our capital campaign to $2.5 million pledged and over $900,000 in cash
on hand!
As stated in last month’s bulletin, every member of the parish council has now pledged towards our project and twenty-three families in total have pledged.
Many thanks to our entire parish leadership, as well as our dynamic capital campaign committee: Justin Bosl (co-chair), Dimitri Haloulos (co-chair), George Psefteas, Gary Wallner, Matthew Jameson and Nick Vriheas. With great teams in place, optimism for our project and our abilities as a community is very high!
As our community goes forward with our vision for the future, please keep our capital campaign and steering committees in your prayers as they discern what the Lord’s will is for our project, and where He is taking us. More updates will be forthcoming. Thank you again for your support!
