The Greek Orthodox Youth of America, or GOYA, is a ministry to strengthen the relationship of young Orthodox Christians with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ from grades 6-12. The program works to educate and edify young members of the Church, encouraging them to become active sacramental participants in the life of the Body of Christ.
This ministry offers them the opportunity to experience the Faith, ultimately leading them to Salvation. GOYA is separated into Jr GOYA for all 6-8th graders and Sr GOYA for 9-12th graders. Each meet once a month in addition to family events within the parish, Sunday school and Metropolis of San Francisco regional events.
GOYA has been structured to provide a safe space and opportunity for all youth to discuss how and why to live an Orthodox life in our day in age.
